AC1900 Archer C9 Design
TP-Link has managed to make this router simple and attractive. It is quite different from its competitors. Because, most of its competitors including those from D-Link as well as Netgear, contain astonishing designs.
And, their high-end routers are incredible to see. However, TP-Link has managed well in delivering modest things and feature with the C9. The front side of this router is smooth, curvy and simple.
The front side of this glossy router is filled with white color. Whereas the back stand is painted with silver color just like numerous other conventional supporting stands.
And, the three white aerials are sticking at the back with a perfect matte finish. So, if you love to adopt a product resembling Apple product hardware then this is a perfect choice for you.
However, this product seems elegant but we cannot categorize it as a practical router. The company has integrated a stand at the back, which means you are not allowed to lay this router flat or mount it on the wall.
Well, we are not much sure how protective that supporting stand is, but it seems that it is much easy to tip the router over. However, if you want to use this router as a household product then it will be a great choice for you.
Because you only to install this router and place it at one static place. The router seems to be a perfect fit with its removable three aerials. The company has elegantly and sturdily developed these aerials.
Moreover, you will find it easy to adjust the position of these aerials. Besides, there are LED indicators on the front side of the router. The lights are used for multiple purposes.
The LED lights indicate the WiFi connection, internet connection and it also indicated power. Lights of TP-Link AC1900 Archer C9 smart wireless router can be viewed easily.
The indicators are much better than those rectangular lights in the Netgear R7500. The design at the backside contains a similar smooth matter finish.
Moreover, there are connection options available on the backside. All the connection ports are available with their names labeled at the top. If we see from left to right.
The first port you will find will be USB 2.0 ports and the second one is WPS. Next to WPS port, you will see the reset button, the Ethernet socket that allows you to connect your modem.
Moreover, you will find four Gigabit Ethernet ports for connection with your network. The remaining ports include one power socket along with the switch.
On one side of the router, you will find a USB 3.0 port. The port can be used for sharing multiple files on your network through USB drive. While on the other side, the TP-Link AC1900 Archer C9 smart wireless router constitutes USB 2.0 port.
And, that port can be used for printer sharing. The most amazing thing about this portable router is its WiFi compatibility. If we take a look at its performance, the router is capable of delivering a speed of up to 600MB/s over 2.4GHz.
If we test its speed on the 5GHz Ethernet port then its speed jumps to 1,300MB/s. The only way to access all these functionalities is to get compatible triple antenna hardware.
And, you might know that the majority of the laptops and PC contains a duplet aerial hardware or compatibility. Due to which, you only have an option to utilize a few PC cards or can only have access to set up a router to router connection.
With all that said, the triple aerial setup is aimed to develop better beamforming as well as multi-device throughput rates. Still, the users can be able to take full advantage of non-AC 1900 products.
